8 Things Cats Just Don’t Understand

January 22nd is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! Our feline friends are known for being curious. (Actually, Fluffy is flat-out nosy.) If your kitty could ask questions, what do you think she would be the most curious about? A Dallas, GA vet lists a few in this article.

Privacy

Our feline pals like to stick close to their humans. Fluffy may not want to let you out of her sight. In fact, your kitty may even try to follow you into the bathroom!

Car Rides

This is one area where Fluffy and Fido rarely agree. Many of our canine patients absolutely love going for drives. Kitties? Not so much. Cats seem to think that cars are evil monsters that are trying to hurtle them off the planet.

Gravity

Kitties are very active and playful. Fluffy can jump several times her height, and has scaled some pretty tall trees. Then again, she also sometimes rolls off couches. It’s probably safe to say that cats don’t really understand physics. Then again, our feline buddies may also just follow their own laws.

Us

Cats are much healthier with proper veterinary care. Your furry pal will also be happier and more comfortable if she is free of parasites and protected from dangerous diseases such as feline leukemia. Of course, Fluffy doesn’t really understand that. She just knows that she has to put up with the indignity of a napping schedule interruption and a car ride!

Dogs

We’re pretty sure that Mans’ Best Friend would also make this list. Fido will eat just about anything, is interested in pleasing his humans, and doesn’t know how to use a litterbox. As far as Fluffy is concerned, this is all completely absurd!

That Little Red Dot

Fluffy has been trying to catch that elusive spot of light for years. Many furballs will get ‘purrplexed’ by their elusive prey this year.

Kitchenware

Have you ever dropped a pot or pan in the kitchen, and seen your furball go racing out of the room? Kitties like their domains nice and peaceful!

Books

Does Fluffy sometimes fall asleep on books or magazines you’re reading? Clearly, you should be paying attention to her instead of staring at an inanimate object!

That answers Fluffy’s questions, but what about yours? Do you have any questions about your cat’s health or care? Call us, your Dallas, GA animal clinic!
