Dr. Danielle Tillis
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Tillis’s entire family works in the human medical field—her mother is a physical therapist and most of her cousins and aunts serve as nurses. She realized early on that she wasn’t fond of the doctor’s office, but she couldn’t shake her passion for medicine and hands-on care.

Why not put her lifelong love of animals to good use, thought Dr. Tillis, by serving as a veterinarian? She hasn’t looked back since!
Dr. Tillis was born in Newnan, Georgia but moved to Powder Springs with her family at a young age. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Georgia, then headed to the Caribbean to study veterinary medicine at Ross University in St. Kitts. After a few semesters there, she decided to transfer back to the University of Georgia, where she completed her animal-care degree at the university’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Having worked here at the clinic as a Veterinary Assistant in her summers during veterinary school, Dr. Tillis was happy to accept a full-time position as a veterinarian in the summer of 2016.
Dr. Tillis’s interests outside of animal care include hiking, scuba diving, crocheting, and serving as an Assistant Coach of the girls’ soccer team at a local high school. She and her husband, Jimmy, live with three dogs—Paul, a Golden Retriever/Labrador mix; a mischievous Havanese named Snickers; and Odin the goofy Great Dane—and are thrilled to have welcomed their first baby, Claire, into the world in January, 2018!
